Store Policies
We offer complimentary punch cards that we punch for regular priced merchandise. Exceptions include class fees, sale items, or any consignment items which does include the Recreate section, Rustic Giraffe, and Bejeweled. A filled card may be redeemed on a future purchase and you may redeem up to 2 cards at a time. Each redeemed card is $10 off your purchase.
Returning a product you purchased – we ask that you please bring the original receipt of payment for any return. There are no returns on sale items, Recreate items, or sidewalk sale items. Absolutely no refunds will be done without a receipt.
Re-Create
This is our highly successful consignment area of the shop. You may bring in any time during regular business hours, new or gently used paper crafting items for resale. We cannot accept single pieces of paper, overly used stamps and stamp sets or stamp sets that have pieces missing, no open ink pads and markers, no how to books and magazines, foam stamps, brass templates, flat stickers or stickers with missing pieces (3-D stickers do sell) and items that do not pertain to paper crafting. Clean and unused items sell quickly. Please remove any prior garage sale stickers as we do not have time to remove these from your items.
We have numerous places that accept donations of the unsold recreate merchandise of you choose to donate unsold vs picking them up. Please remember – once an unsold item is returned to you it can not come back to recreate to try and sell a second time. This keeps space available for vendors that have not had their items on the shelves yet. Our donation places include – art teachers from various local schools, elementary teachers, MBG Herb Society, organizations that work with nursing homes, cancer patients, or in the past allowed to go into the woman’s jail and hold classes. All of the above greatly appreciate the donations.
Every 2 months you may bring in two grocery bags/ one large tote bag/ or bankers box of merchandise. This does not apply to seasonal merchandise that is on a more time constraint.
Holiday merchandise drop off dates are as follows:
Valentines Day are 11/1-1/1
St Patricks Day are 11/–2/15
Easter are 11/1- 2/28 ( dependent on how Easter falls on the calendar each year)
Mother’ Day, Father’s Day, and July 4 are 3/1- 6/1
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah 7/1 – 9/1
Thanks to all of you for bringing in items for us to sell. As you know it’s a win win situation! We couldn’t do this without all of you and your resell it items.
Instore Promotions:
Anniversary Sale is always held in August – watch Facebook or email sign up for more information
Christmas Open House – generally is the first week of November but we are usually closed a day to two before in order to prep and decorate the store. Watch Facebook or email for more information.
Small Business weekend sale – is always the Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. This sale weekend does include Recreate items without any cash hit to the sellers.
Store Refund Policies
Punch cards – limit 2 redeemed per visit. There are no punches on commission, jewelry, or recreate merchandise. All sales are final on recreate and clearance merchandise. Without a receipt you will receive an in-store credit on any other purchases returned.
Store Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Thursday: 10 AM to 6 PM
Saturday: 10 AM to 4 PM
Sunday: Closed
The following Holidays we are always closed – Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Year’s Day.
Occasionally we close due to special circumstances or how a calendar year falls – please watch via Facebook or sign up for email letters to receive more information regarding those dates.
Inclement weather rule – rule is call the shop – if you get the answering machine then we have not left our homes either. We used to say we follow the Kirkwood School District closing but lately they have closed when it wasn’t necessary for us to be closed – so just call before heading out if in doubt.
